No, it's not the dumbest question ever, and you're right -- 6 is the LCM of 6 and 3. In general, whenever a is a multiple of b, LCM (a, b) = a.

The lowest multiple of 6 is 6x1 = 6. This is also a multiple of 3. So the LCM is 6.

Believe me, this isn't the dumbest question I've seen on Yahoo answers, let alone in the math section. Not by a long shot.
