I need help with Texas History class, I'm trying to figure out a baseball player with a lot of achievements and well-known to write about any ideas? Needs to be in Texas though ( all achievements, honors, anything he did).

How about Sleepy Bill Burns from San Saba Texas. Pitched from 1908-1912.
He played a MAJOR role in baseball history. Sorry, you have to do the research.

Nolan Ryan would be a good choice. He's from Texas, played for Arlington and Houston and is the king of strikeouts and no-hitters.

you'd have to go with Nolan Ryan.... Pettite and Clemens are also great pitchers, but most of their accomplishments were outside of Texas....
