Water animals are affected more.If acid rain falls on a lake or pond,the pH value of water which should be around 7 comes down drastically.water animals particularly fishes die if the the pH value comes down less than 5.
As the acid rain contains sulphuric acid an nitric acid they react with the limestones and metal parts of the ancient building and corrode them.

i have never seen any sort of information that it affects animals at all in a direct way
