ok ok this is probably stupid, please don't criticize im really just curious if when i give birth i will be able to have my mom or someone do my hair and make up before we take pictures with me and the newborn. (you know, tradition, gotta take pictures)

i know that should be the least of my worries, and it is, it's just something i've thought about. i'm pretty self conscious without my hair done at least, because it gets really frizzy when i sweat or work hard and i know it'll be frizzy and gross.

all my friends look good in their pix after they gave birth.

You probably can- but you also can try to be somewhat made up during your delivery. I put on make-up before my induction and then when I ended up needing a c-section 13 hours later, most of it was still on.

If you have frizzy hair you can try what I sometimes do. I have pretty curly hair and sometimes I don't have time in the morning to wash it. So the night before I put my hair in two braids. The next day I take the braids out and my hair is curly but without bedhead or frizz. This might work for you too.

I don't know if you'll be able to take "right after" pictures all dolled up, but before you leave the hospital, I'm sure you can. The baby is still brand new.

I brought special clothes from home to put on my kids. I didn't do any of this standard newborn t-shirt business. I had them in dresses and cute t-shirts with our names on them.

I looked terrible after my daughter's birth--I hadn't even pulled the net from my hair, but my daughter was looking up at my face, with a wonderous smile on her face, and it was just precious.

i worried about this to and after birth i just didnt care you'll probably end up the same way , maybe have some just after birth pix where you may not look exactly crash then when you have had some rest get your hair done make up etc and have some more taken , plus the other pics will look more natural and not so posed or fake and you dont have to show them to the world or anything

Most hospitals will allow family members in the birthing rooms. As long as it doesn't interfere with your medical treatment (I can't imagine how it possibly could) I don't see why you couldn't have your hair and make up done on the big day based on any hospital policy.

just answer this question...when you looked at your Friends photos did you focus on the their imperfections of did you focus on how cute the baby was....no offense but when people are looking at those photos they DON'T care if you r hair is brushed and your lipstick is the right color...just on how cute the baby is. Anyway...7 weeks ago when I gave birth to my son...my husbands favorite photo is of me and our son within 3 min of him popping out...at that point my hair wasn't horrible but it wasn't brushed for at least 10 hours..I had no makeup on....at that point I was done with 9 hours of labor and had no sleep for 24 hours...but it's his favorite and tells I'm beautiful in it

Ha...it's funny to me that you are worried about that...well not really funny but it is! lol...I doubt that you will be thinking about that once the baby comes. If you deliver vaginally, you may feel like taking care of yourself for pics! When I had my first baby, I got up and took a shower right after he was born, no kidding! I felt gross and asked and they let me!

I was actually more worried about my make-up rather than my hair. I just stuck it up with a clip right after delivery and washed my face and put that make-up right back on!

you can take as much time after birth as you want before you take pics. I didn't care, the day was not about how good I looked!!!
