From childhood: My entire family. They were wonderful, kind, and loving people who loved me for me and taught me the importance of being that same way to others. I am the person I am now thanks to them. Some are now gone and gosh, do I miss them.

Now: My son. He inspires me every single day to be the best person and mom I can be. I hope to give to him the same values I was given by my family and those who have loved and cared for me. I only hope that I can be the hero to him in his life that he is to me every day. =)

Peace to you ...

My Dad. He marched with Patton's Army in WWII, and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He helped to liberate Buchenwald prison camp. He lived through the Great Depression, he was a man of honor and his hand shake was as good as a signed contract. He had a great sense of humor. He was so creative. He could build anything with his bare hands. At the age of 55, he lost his eye sight, but never quit. He layed a row of bricks in his back yard, just by touch. And the wall is perfect. He died last year. I miss him terribly. Thank you for bringing up these memories of my hero.

My father. He came from nothing and dealt with a lot of **** in his life to be as successful as he is today. Not long ago we were on a trip in California and he took my family to the city where he was stationed during his time in the Air Force, and he showed us the apartments he lived in and told us stories about how bad it was living there and how little they were paid. Then he said he never imagined he would be visiting those apartments again in a paid-for Mercedes. I just really admire what he's done with his life.

My first husband. He was the most amazing man I have ever known. He was a soldier and then a police officer. He would do anything for his friends and family. He gave everything he had for the betterment of mankind. I miss him. There could never be a better all around person.

my dad because no matter what life has thrown at him he has always let it roll off his back and go on with a smile. Even after my oldest brother died all he was worried about was how we were taking it. If I'm half the person he is my life will be complete
