We've been out of the race for a long time, so it's nice to see us at least trying to play the spoiler role. I think we've got a nice staff for next season with Halladay, Burnett, McGowan and Marcum, but I was surprised to see Litsch shut them down tonight. And our bullpen only pitched 2.2 innings in 3 games!

Anyway, good luck to the Yanks and Sox. I'm just happy to see my team playing well.

on behalf of all Yankee fans across this great land of ours, and throughout the world, i would like to thank the Toronto Blue Jays for their assistance in winning the AL East crown for the Yankees
oh and on a personal note... this means I'm 1 1/2 games from peeling the "Yankees Suck" bumper sticker off the beer cooler at the local pub.... i can't wait till they clinch.... especially since ive spoken to the owner there like twice since i made the bet, and haven't mentioned it again....

I am actually surprised at how poorly the Jays did this year with the pitching staff that they have. Not that I am complaining about the job they did on the Red Sox.! I just thought that with Burnett and Halladay they would have been in the thick of the wild card race, along with the Yanks, Sox and Tigers. I would love to see the Yanks knock off the Sox for the division title on the last day of the season, but I would rather have the Yankees win the World Series!

Yankee fans have to be happy but no one should really be surprised. The Jays are 46-31 at home this year and they are a team on the rise. Rios and Thomas are having good years but Wells and Overbay are having a down year and B.J. Ryan went down early. Where would they be if they had good years from all their solid players? I would have to agree with you about next year and their young pitchers. I believe the Jays will have the talent to work their way back into the mix next year and possibly years to come.

I am somewhat grateful for them sweeping Boston, as it put my Yankees in contention for the A.L. East lead, but I am not going to say I love them, because they could win the series against the Yankees this weekend and ruin the Yankees' chances of finishing first.

Secondly, I do not like the Blue Jays, not after the A-Rod fiasco. His "ha" play was vastly overrated, and their ensuing anger was probably due to the fact that they didn't like him anyway. They made way too much of that, then had four games to throw at him in Yankee Stadium, but did not have the courage to, waiting instead for the security of the Rogers Centre. Not only did they Litsch throw at him and miss, but then Towers threw at A-Rod to hurt him by hitting him in the leg. I thought it was very childish, and Matt Stairs was way out of line trying to get to A-Rod. Again, I'm glad the Blue Jays took care of business against Boston, but I am not fond of that team.

I have been a N.Y.Yankee fan all my life. Plus I'm proud to be a "NEW YORKER". But tonigth i was cheering for the "Toronto Blue jays" due to several reasons:I wanted Toronto to swept this series badly, and allowing N.Y. to close in for the A.L.east division title. My homeboy from Puerto Rico "Alexis Rios" wow man, what kind of season this man has accomplish.Russ Adam, thank you for buring Boston deep.Tonight i really loved the "Toronto Blue jay's" 100%.

Well, I don' t mind The Blue Jays . I' ve always had a hatred for The Yanks ! There' s no in-between for The Yankees ... either you love them or hate them !
But , I am a CLEVELAND INDIANS fan !
And I sure hope I get a chance to see them do well in the play-offs !
If Cleveland was OUT , and The 'Jays were IN , then , I would be rooting for your 'Jays .
Right now , The Indians are Hot , Hot , Hot !
