and Biblical verses that can be interpreted a thousand ways? Isn't worshipping God an experience that you can feel, while church dogma is an experience in inanity, pride, hate and childishness as the dogma separates you from a true experience of the power that we attribute to God?

Well said queenblack.

If more people were "spiritual" instead of "religious", this world would be a much happier place.

Personally, I'm done with organized religion. I'm gonna live a good life, be kind, be helpful and love my fellow humans. God is fine with that, trust me... dont let anyone tell you different.

How do you define worshiping God?? That's the major question, the who's and why's and how's of worshiping God. The Dogma of the church should be in keeping with the Bible. If you don't believe in the Bible for what you define as verses that can be interpreted a thousand ways, why believe In any of the Bible, why believe in the 10 commandments. The Bible is not a cafeteria where you pick what you like and disregard what you don't. Back to the question, ask 10 people to define worship, and you 'll get 10 different answers

I too, was fed up with all the dogma etc., so several years ago I started studying the Buddhist beliefs (it is not a religion). I soon dropped away from Christianity except for my belief in God.
I studied many religions before I made the switch.
I am a great fan of nature/nurture so this was a perfect fit for me.
I try very hard not to criticize others beliefs for that is what gets them through life as does my beliefs.
I believe in a loving God not one who sanctions wars or evils.
We all, generally, need our beliefs to guide us from day to day.
You have a great one.

There is a church building that I go to to worship with like-minded people. It is not an organized religion. I was raised Catholic and chose different options, learning more and more as the years went by. While I was baptized as a baby, I chose my own baptism a few years ago and it was my public declaration that I believed in, and would follow, Jesus. I take a daily walk with God and know when to be still and listen and know He is God. There is just too much false hope and false belief out there in the world today. When He chooses me to enlighten someone, I do as He asks knowing I am only planting seeds. Everyone can choose as they wish, and I do believe that those who choose not to believe will have their eyes opened one day, and on that day it may be too late for them to make the right decision. Yet it's their right to free will that they are exercising. I walk in faith daily, and pray for those who don't get it.

Life would be much simpler if people just believed in the Bible, instead of church dogma. The various religions are the ones who confuse their followers by teaching traditions of men. If you read the Bible with an open mind, without preconceived ideas, you will find the Truth about God (if you really want the Truth). But, you'll need humility. You'll need to be humble to admit that your beliefs may be wrong, and to be godly in the face of opposition and ridicule.

Yes, I think life would be "simpler" if people practiced what was taught...love and forgiveness! Basic Christian behavior...if we follow the way of the Lord!

There is a HUGE difference between religion and relationship with God! Religion is how we choose to worship. Relationship, is knowing God, seeking him and doing our best to abide by His law.

I think things would go so much better if only everyone understood the difference and embraced the Word of God, a healthy prayer life and seek Him in all things.

I can understand where your coming from. But remember we have free will, we choose to follow different religions. The bible is interpreted a thousands ways because sometimes people forget that whatever they have interpreted is especially for them and those who choose to follow are ones that have been seeking or seem 'lost'. Worshipping God should be your own personal experience, don't forget that the church is a fellowship to uplift each other.

we must be careful with this type of "blanket question", as even devil believes in God. He merely would not worship Him. yet so a good distance as dogma, I believe you. a good distance too many church homes and agencies create doctrines that are guy-made and are the two unsupported by Scripture or from time to time easily contradict Scripture. yet whilst they have been to coach in user-friendly terms doctrine that grow to be supported by stable Scripture IN CONTEXT, there may well be much less confusion, errors and strife interior the church homes.

Well, isn't believing in God and the Bible part of that religious dogma? I believe what I believe. Some choose not to believe in God, and I feel that if that's what they choose, that must work for them. What another person believes does not change my own belief.

Yes it would be nice. However, each one of us is a unique individual, and I believe God meets each one of us in his/her own special way.

Of course when man's greed, ego, pride and zest for power get involved, and God's word is misused, it can certainly cause a lot of division and hate. Such is what we see today in the Churches. I don't think God is pleased.
