The Nazi's were National Socialists but that's beside the point.
The Nazi's in America couldn't get organized enough to control a local school committee.
Unless of course you're talking about the Democratic Party. They're socialists though - not national socialists.

Sure the GOP does!
They try to get those who believe in socialism like the Nazis did and slaughtering helpless people by defining them as subhuman (in gas chambers, ovens and now wombs) just like the Nazis did out of power. Problem is you young libs keep getting tricked into voting for the Nazis. We really gotta educate our youth better...

The constitution of the United States prevents fascism from taking over.
Neo-conservatism has a strong basis in authortarianism, but it is a failed ideology and has no staying power.
The constitution will win out in the end

Why are you worried about a party that hasn't been in power since the 40s and in Germany? Worry instead about the Communist backed Democratic party and who is defending us against them.

I think our system of "checks and balances" generally prevents fascism.
P.S. I just finished Philip Roth's "The Plot Against America" which you might be interested in based on your question.

Right now I think we should be more concerned about the who , who is controlling America. Bush and the boys are more dangerous to our freedoms right now than any imaginary Nazi.
