I have some old postcards and the black album paper has stuck on the back of some of them.Is there a safe way to remove the b/paper from them?I can't afford a speacialist .Help!!!!

What you actually want to do is release the glue that has torn the surface of the paper off. Depending on the age of the album, it could be Elmer's glue which is water soluable or muscelage - the yellow clear stuff that used to be used for paper fastening. The problem is water may damage the post cards. I would try adding some water with a Q-tip to the black paper near one edge and then gently work on the soaked edge to see if it comes free. Then add a bit of water and lift the paper working your way across.
