No, they deny it. They say Al Qaeda in Iraq is not connected to Bin Laden, even though the troops have killed numerous Al Qaeda leaders with attachments to Bin Laden, like Abu Musab al-Zarqawi for instance. It's, not being able to accept they're wrong and falling for Iraq's Al Qaeda's propoganda portraying themselves as seperate from Bin Laden's Al Qaeda. It drives them nuts that Bush was right.

First of all, while there are some "Al Qaeda" in Iraq, we have deemed it appropriate to call every "insugent" Al Qaeda. We haven't killed "thousands" of Al Qaeda. The troops are doing what they have to do, and that's commendable. However, no matter what, this is not a "winnable" war even if it is for the mere fact that it is a religious war (and nobody wins those). Our time would be better served getting the man that attacked us.

I heard about 5% of the violence is alqaeda in Iraq. Which did not exist until we screwed it up after toppling Saddam.
Anbar where that sheik was blown up the day we announced how great it is there.
I recognize the troops hard work and zeal and I am sad that we are using them where we do not belong.
Their job is to fight, and they are doing an outstanding job.
Our job is to be sure their cause is just and we are really doing a crummy job of oversight on that.
EDIT - what in the world is the demoncrate people refer to? Is that some sort of democratic container we use to try and control the raving republican right??

Excuse me?
First off, we supported Bush with this war to begin with. When we saw mission accomplished hadn't been accomplished we started asking questions. Then we figured out that after sifting through all the "intel", it was just a bunch of BS.
Second, it was Bush who denied that there was even a civil war going on a while back, not us.
Third, it was US intelligence that informed Bush that Al-Qaeda is just as strong now as in was before 9/11, in a country that they weren't in before!
Forth, what the heck is wrong with you people? Saddam WAS NOT the one behind 9/11, bin Laden was And guess what people, thanks to Bush HE'S STILL OUT THERE! Making complete fools out of us.
The man that this war on terror was suppose capture has been taken off the prioirty list by Bush. Why?
No one denies that Al-Qaeda is NOW in Iraq. But who put them there? And now who the heck has to get the out?
And you have a very short memory.
“For the U.S. to get involved militarily in determining the outcome of the struggle over who’s going to govern in Iraq strikes me as a classic definition of a quagmire.” ~Dick Cheney, 1991
At least try to get your facts straight.

Um... people ..al qaeda was in IRAQ pre war -
Thats a fact that there were training camps in the country.
Though 911 was reason enough to go into afganistan.
The reason for going after IRAQ was more about saddams own brutality against his own people... and not alquada or oil.

according to the "Christian Science Monitor" , there are between 800 and 2000 foreign fighters in Iraq. These would be what you might refer to as terrorists. Since there were no terrorists in Iraq prior to the start of the war, that means there are 2000 or less in the entire country. Just how is it that our troops are killing thousands of al qaeda if there aren't that many in the country?????????????

Al Qaeda in Iraq has exactly zilch to do with the Al Qaeda of Bin Laden. Try looking it up next time BEFORE you ask.

You're absolutely right. The dems will continue to deny this claim because if the American people believed it they wouldn't elect a democrat in 08.

No, we're aware they're there, we're aware of when they got there and we're aware of why they're still there. Bush invited them to what he thought was a cake walk when he invaded Iraq and now he doesn't know how to get rid of them. Remember "Bring them on"?
