I have a whole bunch of coins from the 50's and 60's. Does anyone know of a website that will tell me if they're worth anything. The coins are worldwide. Thanks for the help.

Without seeing pictures it's very difficult for anyone to give you a good answer. A lot depends on the condition of your coin.

1 - Take your coin to a local coin dealer (trustworthy ones can be found - shop around, get second opinions). It never hurts to get a second opinion. They will be able to tell you so much more by evaluation the condition of the coin. They will also know the amount minted and what it is going for in today's market.

2 - Try posting pictures on this website (there are many experts here that can help you evaluate it - there also may be people willing to buy if you are trying to sell):

3 - Repost this question and include pictures. You can use websites like photobucket.com and include the link in your question.

Good luck!

P.S. Do not clean your coin as this can drastically reduce the value.

Coins from the 1950's and 1960's are to new to be worth anything. If they are large and silver then you may have something. Coins of small denominations of other countries don't sell well except in the country that minted them. There are exceptions for many Americans collect Canadian cents but few collect modern German one Pfennig coins even though Germany now uses the Euro at least here in the states. As for getting a good price for world coins that do have value you must take them to the right dealer and you also must know your coins.I can do well with world coins if one takes the time to know the markets. Collecting coins is not the money end anyway it is having a piece of history in ones hand. Remember a lot can be learned about a country through its coins. Now to answer the question, there are no such sites. They would have to be huge in size and expensive to make.

Most world coins from the 50s or 60s or as early as the 1900s are being sold by pound or kilo. There're coins books for world coins but many world coins are commons and don't have a secondary market out of the contries. Unless they're silver else each is worth about a quarter or less. There's not a site that lists all world coins and even if there is one you have to subscribe and you won't get the prices listed when you sell.

You could search for each coin, or take photos of the coins and post them to a coin forum (i.e. http://www.cointalk.org/forumdisplay.php?f=23) and see if anyone there can help.

Before bothering, I would read a guide, such as http://www.acoin.com/whatworth.htm to see if any of the coins even potentially have any extra value at all.
