It's been a quite a few years.. but i say not walking, i think it was 1.5 miles each way in grade school, jr. high it was 2 miles.. and high school we didn't have one so it reg bus or bike it..then i strated driving a VW 1964 and gas was cheap then.. 26 cents a gallon then at exxon?

in the winter when it was mad cold, getting in a school bus and feeling that warmth was great.
Besides that, I would have rather driven to school. My schoolbus was so crowded I once had to sit on the floor.
