Did you notice that he was carrying the handcuffs. He wasn't wearing them! What's up with that???

I wondered if each wrist was cuffed to a set which were cuffed to his belt. But I don't really know.

There were two handcuffs used which were attached to each other. He is elderly (60 years old) and was not expected to offer resistance to his being arrested. The media who have covered this entire story here have ascended to a whole new level of ignorance in their reporting. To begin with, there was no "casino robbery". The entire attempted robbery took place in a hotel room. Secondly, the Palace Station Hotel and Casino is not in Las Vegas. It's on the south side of Sahara Avenue. That puts it inside Winchester, Nevada. Third, the Palms Hotel and Casino, where Mister Simpson was staying, is not in Las Vegas. It's in Paradise, Nevada.
The jail where he was taken, booked and placed in is not the Las Vegas jail. It's the Clark County Detention Center, located in downtown Las Vegas. The Las Vegas jail is at East Stewart Avenue and Mojave Drive.
But, we who live here really appreciated all of the comic relief from these out-of-town "jaspers".
