I government was taken over in 1913 when we allowed the passing of the Federal Reserve Act. After that day we have been run by the big bankers that run the whole world. They have got both parties in there pocket. If you are not a member of one of there secret groups then you get silenced. They own the media too of course, but I think that was obvious.

First off, you lost your credibility by picking on Bush. You don't think Kerry is corrupt? Gore? You asked about corrupt government. If you just want to bash one set of crooks over the other set of crooks, you loose.

Here is one example if you still want to listen.

Both parties are taking bribes from corporations and businesses rather than representing the people. Look at the illegal immigrant issue. These businesses want cheap labor. That increases their profit. The illegals drive down all wages by lowering wages at the bottom first. The American people want something done about this invasion. But the democrats and republicans allow the illegals to keep coming and to stay here and work. The politicians from both parties are refusing to act because of the bribes they are taking from business. That is corruption. From both parties.

Why did Alaska Senator Ted Stevens get his house remodeled by an oil company?

Why did Lisa Murkoski (AK-Sen) get to purchase land belong market value?

I have other examples.

Ultimately, Senators and Representatives, even at 160K and 137K, respectively, don't make very much money compared to industry executives, and especially to the amount of money that the Federal Government spends. (2.7 trillion dollars)

I think that people get intoxicated by the power, and by people sliding up to them, offering them whatever - and I do mean whatever - they want. Lobbyists cultivate relationships and ultimately people want to believe that they deserve it, or whatever.

Lyndon Johnson never worked for anyone but the governement and managed to retire a millionaire - quite a feat.

When the basic Constitution freedoms are Usurped from the American people in the name of security, then there is nothing but treason.

Why not simply tell the American Citizen's, whom the government is working for, hired by and paid by, what it is really doing.

Corruption is the visible tip of a massive ice burg.

Bush's logic for going into Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. It was to get even with saddam from the days his father was president over an oil dispute. Bush took his chance to take Iraq when the iron was hot.

The nature of humans is to look out for self interest and the protection of self from criticism of others.

When you are in politics, it is a bunch of a few individuals trying to lead an entire nation of other individuals in a direction. When you have such power at your hand, it is not hard to manipulate things that normally slip through the crack for self benefit. Your politicians are only looking out for their own interest, not your's!

They just tell you that they are out looking after the NATION so you'll continue to support them and hencem, give them power.

not sure if your looking for the reason for it, or examples of it.
as for examples you don't need to look no farther than the recent UF student that was tazered for speaking out against government and asking hard questions ((a clear violation of the first amendment)

Reasons for corrupt government is so simple, money or power used in the pursuit of money

ALL governments everywhere, throughout all time, are corrupt. It is merely a matter of how corrupt.
In the U.S., rights of the Citizen are erroding away; the more their rights are taken away, the more the govenment becomes corrupt.
You don't need to look to Washington W.W. D.C.; just look around your town.

American democracy relies on corruption of a person...

All morals and personal beliefs go out the window when you're trying to get in office.
