The problem with discussing approval rates for Congress is that is the approval rate for the entire Congress. That includes Democrats who are upset with Republican Senators blocking votes on Iraq and Republicans upset with the increase in minimum wages. The approval rate for individual members of Congress tends to be much higher. If you used the average number of people who approve of their own Representative and their own Senators, you would probably have an approval rating around 60%.

Be careful about statistics. You have to dig deep and find out WHAT people are dissatisfied with exactly.
