Do you think is possible that we havent gotten any visits from the future because once we reach a certain point of development humans will kill themselves and that would be the end of humanity?

Could be that.
Could be that time travel into the past is just not possible (forbidden by quantum physics or something).
Could be they have Time Cops that stop it from happening or do something to make us all forget a time traveller from the future. So maybe we have been visited hundreds of times and we just don't remember - maybe meteor flashes in the sky or even fireworks are really those "memory erasers" they had in the Men In Black movies.

The idea of time travel is an interesting,romantic,and even
scary prospect the possibility is highly unlikely due in part
to the physics involved for such a process is well beyond
our understanding and also in part to a process known as
"entropy" i.e. the universe is in a constant state of change
from its original homogeneous beginnings (hydrogen,helium) .
to change that seems completely impossible . It would be like
unexploding a bomb .

Well, while that outcome isn't out of the realm of possibilities, I'd say we haven't gotten any visits from the future because it's flat out impossible.
