OK, It isn't safe, as you already know.
It goes against your values to sneak, which is being deceptive, right?
There must ber some consequences for getting caught, other than your own conscience, right? How long will you be grounded for?
If you are meeting someone, you are also contributing to each others bad behaviour and that can't feel good. What if your friend got hurt, or worse?
There are some evil people out there. I don't want to nag on it but it's a fact. You can't tell by looking at someone if they might harm you or your friends. Your being out must be tiring and causes you to be tired at school, right?
It's always a good idea to follow your folks advise and rules until you leave home. They do know best, they have seen more and that is why they make rules that are to keep you safe and help you to grow up with an education. Good luck.

The main reason is because sneaking out violates trust. If your parents can't trust you then it can create many problems with your relationship.

If you sneak out and then have some kind of accident, it could be much longer before your parents send help because they will think you are safe at home.

Similarly, if you sneak out and then someone abducts you, it could be longer before anyone knows you're missing which means there's a greater chance of you being harmed before help people start looking for you.

If your parents don't know where you are, there's always the chance someone can't find you in an emergency.

Sneaking out is "bad" because:
1. Undermines the authoritative figure.
2. A future causative of harm. If something were to happen while you were out, the parent would not be able to help.
3. Promotes disobedience. If you got a way with it the first time, then you can do it again. In Psychology, this is called Operant Conditioning, dealing with rewards and consequences, developed by Skinner.
4. It is morally wrong to do so, according to Kant, who believes in good will and duty.

I can't think of much else... Hope that helps!

1) No one responsible for you knows where you are. For instance, how do you think your parents/guardians would feel if they found out you were in a car accident when they thought you were sleeping safely in your bedroom?

2) Your parents/guardians will lose their trust in you if you get caught.

3) You will get in trouble if you get caught.

4) Your parents/guardians want you inside at a reasonable hour because they care about your health and well-being. There's a reason why they want to know where you are and who you're with. There's a reason they want you getting a good night's rest. And it's not because they're deranged meanies, although I'm sure it seems like it at times.

I'm sorry, but all the people crying about how OMG you might get raped or killed are exaggerating. You could get raped or killed on your way to school. You're more likely to be abused by a boyfriend, acquaintance, or a relative. You can't live your life in fear of criminals.

Oooh I used to do this. All the time ;)
1. Lose parents' trust
2. If you get hurt or lost, no one may be able to help you
3. Your parents might freak out and call the cops thinking you ran away or were kidnapped
4. If you get into trouble, or are suspected of it while you are away sneaking, then it may make you and your family look bad to your friends' parents, community, etc.
5. You should respect your parents' rules, they are there to protect you

Ahhh...I was never caught and had really good times though.

It's not safe for starters. What if you sneak out and get kidnapped and raped by a stranger? No one would know where you were or what was happening to you.
Another reason: what if you snuck out and tripped and fell in a remote location - and were significantly hurt?
I can think of a lot of others but parents are trying to make sure you are safe.....hope you realize that.

Hi, JNC.

Parents are a teenager's legal guardians. They are responsible for their children's health and safety. If a teen is injured in an accident, gets drunk, or takes an overdose, the parent is responsible for their medical care.

Perhaps an even greater danger is a premature sexual relationship. Outside of the supervision of a parent, a teen may become involved in a relationship he or she is not ready for, and which may result in consequences that may affect that person for this rest of his or her life.

If a teen sneaks out of the house, he or she sneaking into danger, and probably breaking the law. Parents can report their teenager as a runaway, and that teen could be arrested and brought into juvenile court.

If this or another answer here proves helpful in your research, you can encourage good answers by choosing one answer as the "best answer."

Cheers,
Bruce

Well, what I've HEARD is that it's bad because it makes you grow up as a bad person? But I think it's bad because......well, I don't really know why LOL! I do it all the time but that's just me. Um, it might be bad because when you sneak out, you don't get enough sleep, and then you're tired and won't get up in the morning and then ur parents find out haha yeah, dat happened to me.

First of all, you are violating the trust of your parents or guardian.

Next is is unsafe for a youngster to be out running around in the dark.

Third, a young person's mind is still developing, and they lack the ability to predict the consequences of their actions.

Hope this helps and you get an A on your paper.

Lastly, a young person lacks the life experience to be out running around on their own or with a friend the same age. A sure recipe for disaster.
