The Iraqi government has ordered Blackwater to stop operating and leave Iraq. Should they?
Please try to be rational and civil, this is a reasonable question and I am not attacking anyone, so please do likewise with your answers.

okay, here's my two cents
If we so deseprately want the Iraqis to govern themselves, shouldn't we respect their decisions for their own country rather than try to override them. If we do that, then we are just showing how much more important we think we are to people trying to rule their own country. And if Blackwater stays, we are showing just how much of a puppet government they are. Frankly, in order to accomplish our government's goals over there, we probably need Blackwater, but if Iraq doesn't want them there, and I think we should respect what they want for their country rather than what we want.

Mel, your answer disturbed me the most.
The Iraqi government doesn't have the right to tel anyone anything? Not even about THEIR OWN COUNTRY? If thats so, then why even have an Iraqi government if they're not allowed to govern their own people?
I guess us Americans really do think we're the most important thing.

The Iraq government has the right and the authority to make anyone leave. However, they also must suffer the consequences of their decision (i.e., base-bound diplomats who cannot safely leave the Green Zone).

If we are honest about letting the Iraqi Government run Iraq, then yes they should leave if the Iraqi Government asks them to.

it could have minimum result. maximum blackwater risk-free practices professional, are under contract to the U. S. government. they are offering amenities to defense force and diplomatic leaders and components. The Iraqi order won't result that throughout any respect. And it is going to possibly no longer result any blackwater human beings, working for sub contractoirs the two. because of the fact that they have been employed by utilising the sub contractors.

I think this is a major step in Iraq making a fairly formidable decision on their own and I think they need to have Blackwater leave.

This is just part of the Rumsfeld "modernizing the military" mess that made this such a quagmire.
The US has no business with a unreported-to-congress private army.

Heck no. Bush should hire 50,000 more of them & let them fight the war in Iraq rather than US troops especially since Blackwater doesn't have to abide by the absolutely ridiculous US rules of engagement that hurts US troops so much.

I don't think at this point the Iraq government, such as it is, has no right to tell anyone anything. They will have time laterafter we leave and it goes right back in to the open arms of the Muslims, with smiles on their faces.
