Ok as of today my sound has disappeared lol. at first it started with my headphone jack...i thought it was just my headphones messing up but now could it be the laptop??

dell 1505
windows XP

also i restored my computer to an earlier date and that didnt help and all of my drivers are working fine

Click Start, click Run, type dxdiag, ok. Select Sound tab. Check soundcard and driver details. If not there, reinstall driver then check and test under dxdiag.

Hey man Check in Control Panel and Sounds make your driver are correctly install, if not Your dell should have come with the drivers so install em! ;]
