Dude, this whole Hathida murder incident was
a HOAX. Tim McGirk of Time Maggotzine received a telephone call regarding the murders, the call was placed by an Al-Qaeda terrorist. Murtha called the Marines murders even before the investigation started.

Seems lots of people are asking Tim McGirk if he owes an apology as well

Perhaps he and Murtha should share the same jail cell

not apology but resignation

Why does Murtha owe anybody an apology? Murtha said there was a cover up. He gave credible evidence to support his claim. Since then the army's own investigation determined that, "officers from the company level through the staff of the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force in Baghdad failed to demand 'a thorough explanation' of what happened in Haditha." They say that's not a cover up. True. It's a white wash, not a cover up.

Time Magazine first published the accounts. Does Time owe anybody an apology?

To this date, it has not been satisfactorily established that these particular marines did not in fact kill innocent Iraqis in cold blood. Unfortunately, due to the white wash, they have also not been proven guilty and never can be.

Murtha is a pathetic excuse for a human being, and the kids who were wrongly accused have infinitely more honor than this bribe taking loser and defamer.

To answer the question, after viewing his attitude toward the idea, it's better that he not give a phoney apology, the soldiers of Haditha deserve the real thing.

If he was in during Vietnam.... I can't believe he would say something like that. He needs to say sorry and mean it. I am assuming that he was treated like crap back then so why do it to others, of all the veterans the vietnam era is still the ones that are forgotten, and not cheer'd for or appreciated. That is sad. So to ALL vets of every era, I full heartedly thank you and appreciate you. And to the nam vets.... YOU ARE AN AMERICAN HERO, YOU FOUGHT WELL< I AM SO DAMN PROUD OF YOU !!! and all vets, don't ever forget that this American born and raised woman truly is thankful for everyone of you.

I know he should apologize. He says that he cares.
But doesn't have the guts to apologize for his
rantings and ravings. They should ship him to
Iraq and see how he does.
