If so, did they interrupt your sleep and what were they about?
I'm an expectant dad (boy in November!) and I'm writing a blog http://blog.almostadad.com and book for men on caring for pregnant women. My wife has been having crazy dreams and I wanted to know if this is common.

I have had vivid dreams from the very beginning of all 3 pregnancies. Half of them were about the new baby and what our life would be like. The other half would freak me out! I dreamt I died on the delivery table with my second child...I dreamt I gave birth in another country and we weren't allowed back in the US. The most recent was that our city was being bombed but they were only bombing our garbage cans and my husband was about to take out the garbage but me and my very pregnant belly ran and saved him.... I know they're nuts! But you asked...It's just weird that we remember them so clearly. I wonder where we get the ideas for these dreams????Anyhow it's very normal, no matter how "un-normal" the dreams may be!

Well, I am not late in pregnancy yet. I am 20weeks. Since the day I got pregnant I think I started having dreams like that. They are about things in my past that I have absoulutely no control over. My parents went through a horrible divorce when I was smaller. My husband got re-called in the army and had to leave. I have dreams about those things and so much more but I wont list them all. They have so much detail in them and are very vivid. I wake up and have to realize that it isnt real because it sure feels like it is. I am sure this is a common thing. Most women I talk to about it say it happens to them.

Yes! I've been having crazy dreams throughout my entire pregnancy. The first trimester they were often very sexual and now (38 weeks) they are very vivid and bizarre, for instance I had one about some bears attacking people all over my town and it seemed so real! In the past few weeks, (aside from the bear one) they've been mostly about the baby and childbirth..more realistic things. Good luck with your book! My husband could have used something like that!

I had the craziest dreams while pregnant. What were they about, some were sexual and others were about the baby. I was told once by a fortune teller I was going to have twins so that was a big stress factor because I did not want to have twins. Before I had ultrasounds etc. I'd have dreams about me having twins. Once I dreamed the twins were like fighting in my belly I could see their arms and legs sticking out then they droped to the floor, not through the birth canal but through my belly like they were ghosts or something.... VERY weird!

The stress, lack of sleep, and hormone imbalance causes all sorts of crazy dreams. I had quite a few.
I think very vivid sex dreams are common later in pregnancy, everyone I know had them.

I had really vivid dreams when I was pregnant. They seemed so real I would wake up and believe them. That never happens to me it only did when I was pregnant. My best friend has lesbian dreams and she is as strait as they come. After three babies she has learned to just ignore them. Hope that helped. Good luck!

I have had odd dreams about labor since about 3 months... I have had dreams that I was giving birth with the door open, that I gave birth in a car and didn't remember, and that I gave birth, but they wouldn't let me hold my baby! It is really common... the anxiety, the wonderment, the hormones...

I had dreams that I gave birth to an alien, my fiance and that the baby flew out of my vagina and across the room!!!!
We usually have them late in the pregnancy when we are really nervous about giving birth....

yes crazy and ugly dreams.... I dreamed the baby was a Jalapeno and nobody wanted to carry him... and also have had nightmares with people killin my family... i hate it and makes me wake up crying...
