you cant get a baby rid of hiccups. if thats what your asking, without causing them physical harm. a spoon of sugar under the tounge would give him/her a sugar rush so intense, they would crash and probably cause some sort of brain damage. or, youd end up with a very cranky baby. and raw water isnt smart for an infant.

When my seven year old gets hiccups, I get a sippy cut of water, and have him lay upside down on the couch (feet up and head hanging off the edge) then have him sip the water. It works every time and he thinks its funny as heck lol

Baby hiccups happen when your baby's tummy is full and this causes his tummy to press on his diaphragm. Hiccups are very normal in a healthy newborn baby and will go away within a couple of minutes.

Hold you breath. Drink a full glass of water. When my kids were babies, I gave them their bottle to get rid of hiccups.

I actually chew on a few tums to rid myself of the hiccups but for a baby/child give apple juice.

If you say: "petting a cat takes hiccups away" and literally pet a cat it will take your hiccups away.
