You need to have something to look forward to. Your life isint pointless. I had cancer I felt like my life was over but then I was cured and learned to enjoy the heat on my face. Something needs to happen to you to make you value your life.

Do you mean "How can I stop believing that life is pointless"?

Easy answer, not easy to solve: There's a reason for your apathy, so find out what made you start believing that in the first place and solve your problem.

Was it the loss of someone you love? Did you make a large mistake? Find out what is really bothering you and try to find ways to solve them.

Also, look at what talents you have. Are you great at playing video games? Drawing? Dancing?

Do you have all your limbs? Can you speak? Do you have anything that mars your body that may hinder relationships? If not, be grateful for what body parts and skills you do have! Your life is much easier and more accepted than some of us who, unfortunately, live life with disabilities.

Volunteer work does wonders for people. It helps me see that a little dedicated time makes a difference and feels good. I hear that mentoring a child who is an orphan or enrolled in a social work program will help you really change your perspective. Of course, mentoring ANY child, no matter what their circumstance is uplifting.

Life is beautiful, you may be a little dismayed right now..but it doesn't mean that the sun will never shine brightly in your life. The way you're feeling is just a fleeting emotion that will pass soon.

Find a good church to join, and I'm sure you will get good spiritual support. Surround yourself with people that are encouraging. Pick yourself up, no matter how difficult it may seem..set some new goals for your life, and turn to your passion. I don't know what you have been through, but I know sometimes the road gets tough..but you are more than an overcomer, and greater is Jesus in you than he that is in the world. Don't ever give up on life.

Maybe counseling could be a benefit to you, whatever's bugging you..don't try to go through it alone. It could just be depression that you're dealing with. So also talk to your health care provider. Best of Love for you.

i hate to to say this but life is pointless....if you look at the very big picture, we are but a very microscopic speck in the every expanding universe.

However, find the things that you love......and if you dont have anything that you love, then find it. On planet earth there are so many things that you can really enjoy. Movies, friends, billiards, tennis, books, writing, poems, nature, surfing, horse back riding, teaching, etc, etc. Just find what really makes you happy and become an expert at it. **** find like five things or ten things that make you happy and do them until you die.

Life is pointless but it doesnt mean that you cant enjoy the son of ******

Well this will sound kind of childish but try to think happier thoughts. Not neccessarily the happiest thought but just think of something better than what you're thinking now. Your thoughts cause your emotions, if u think a negative thought, then more will follow and you'll get sadder. If u think of something that makes u happy, or a funny moment, or something to be grateful for then more good thoughts will follow and put u in a better mood.

...but it is pointless really when you search your heart. All we can do is exist until we die. Sometimes that existence is painful or perhaps all the time. I have been lucky, I feel good, but I know that there are many people that are suffering. I watched my Father and my StepFather both die of cancer in the last 10 years and I will never be the same. Ah, what I would give to be ignorant and innocent again! Listen to the song "On and On and On" by Wilco.

Ask Christ into your life. Read the Bible (New Testament). When you are born again, you will have a new life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Do not go to university when. It obviously is clouding your future. It is up to you to find something that you enjoy and to get out of the trap your in doing what those around you want you to do. Go out into the world and escape before it is to late.
