whats your heritage?

I like the way this question is worded. I know this is a poll, but this subject gets me rolling.
If you ask what nationality, I'm American because I was born an American citizen.
My heritage is a mix of European decent. Mostly English and French, some Irish on my father's side and my mother has traced our family tree to uncles that fought in the Revolutionary War.
To those of you who just stated "American":
Unless you can prove that you are of Native decent, it's ignorant, lazy, as well as insulting to the Natives to say you're of American Heritage. America is very young and I think it's safe to say many of us can trace our ancestors out of the country with a little help from public records, the internet and our grandparents.
Also, I think it's important to learn as much as you can about your heritage. It helps you understand more about your own personality and health which can be hereditary.
