Sometimes I feel embarrassed watching these people who want the spotlight a little too long.

I agree. I always admired Johnny Carson for his graceful departure from public life. You have to make a good exit to complete a good career. Why drag it out?

Why?? I saw him just last year in concert and he turned off his mike and sang acapella without it and it was AMAZING we heard him clear as a bell in the 2nd balcony. He did it to a sold out crowd for two night in a row so if fans demand it and he still wants to do it, then why should he stop. I am sure you will view things differently when you get older and people think you are "too old" to do or be something you stiill want to be.

Hate to admit it,but yes,it's time that Tony Bennet stuck to his painting. It is embarassing to watch him now. He was wonderful when I was 14 and sang Rags to Riches, but neither one of us is a spring chicken anymore. I'm retired. It's not as bad as it sounds. Try telling Mr. Bennett that.

Hey f he loves what he does he should keep on doing it. If I became a famous musician I would keep playing through old age.

Why? He still sings wonderfully. There's no age limit to that kind of talent.
