I hope you're on wireless internet during the storm, and a laptop with a battery? People have been killed using a computer in a thunderstorm, and even a surge protector can't help against a direct hit.

Try to think about something other than the storm until it passes. Get involved in music, a good book, or a portable video game.

I've always found it helpful to pray.

Play a little game with the lightning and thunder and it will take your fears away, when you see lightning, start counting 1001 1002 1003 then when you hear the thunder, stop and divide that last digiit of the 1004 into 5 which equal one mile and you will know how far that lightning is from you.

No, you are not scared, you just think you are.

And no, it's not raining, thundering, and brightly lightning outside. It's just a figment you created because it's possible you live in a universe where you're completely bored so you are in a reverie that will help excite your senses a bit.

So to answer your question, no.

Being scared of lightning is a GOOD thing ! You're pretty smart if you ask me, as long as you are sheltered in the house, you'll be fine. I have a boat, If I even think there might be lightning, I head in. If you can hear "Thunder", you are in danger of being struck by lightning !
