It is different from state to state, there is no set sum they all get paid.
To be Governor, you need to be popular, be able to raise campaign funds, and appeal to the people with your election platform.

Depends on the State.. they're all different... From some Governors that I've seen... there is no study at all... In fact someone right out of prison would do a better job then some of them... The only thing that is required is to get elected.

First of all, what country are you talking about (since this seems to be an internation forum and I sometimes see questions being asked about Canada, U.K., India, etc.)?

Second, if you are talking about the U.S., it does depend on each respective state. Each state has its own laws which describe the salary of the Governor of that state. There is no national standard for salaries.

Third, I am sure that there is no requirement at all for anybody to "study for governor."

Fourth, all that it takes is to win the election. Anybody who can win, can win.

You don't "study" for Governor. And the money depends on the stae. We pay our legislators $200.00 a year!

There is no school to prepare you to become governor. This is a political job. All you have to do is to talk a lot and say nothing.Promise the people the world and deliver NOTHING.
