alright, so i used to have an acting agent when i was a bit younger.
i've done a few modeling things, and 5 or 6 extra parts and one actual small speaking part in shows like law and order, criminal intent, the job, ed, special victims unit, etc.

now that i'm older i want to get back into acting, and i'll probably be contacting an agent near where we moved.
but i really want to break out of just doing extra parts.
anyone have any suggestions?

Yes, I suppose you should act...Do all the acting you can, even in amateur community theatres. Find a good acting class, and, wait a minute. You say you have had a speaking part in a tv series? Were you paid as a daily player? Did you join SAG? If you didn't you might have a problem we will have to solve.
I think I can help you get started again. Read my profile and write me at my aol address.

Get a good agent. Get a good acting coach. Try hard. Go to lots and lots and lots and lots of auditions. Don't get discouraged. Do your best. Act like you *know* you have talent, so have confidence in your abilities, even if you're not the best actor there. Smile. Be friendly and polite. Oh, and I suppose you should act.... :)

Good luck!
