because my friend is trying to convence me to do it and i really need the money but i'm really not trying to go to jail

It is a crime therefore you can go to jail for it. Think about it's just like making fake money-very wrong and unlawful. You know you wouldn't be asking if it was right. Deep down, I think you know the answer-DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Knowingly writing a Bad check is commiting fraud.
It's also a felony, and nearly impossible to beat in court. I would consider talking to local police about your "friend" and the conversation. Their sounds like a good possibility of a reward for turning that person in.

If you need help there may be places that can help you! Don't go to jail over a few measly dollars and become a felon, depending on the size of a check!

Passing a $500 fradulent check is a felony in most states.

Go a head pass some checks. no, you'll get away with it.. Sure its easy.
If your not trying to get locked up you wouldn't be asking this dumbass question.
If you do they should lock you for along time.
you know whats right and wronge.

you can go to jail but for the 1st offense, probably not
you'll also have a "record" that will be with you for life

Yes it's called fraud and a lot of people are in prison for it. I think a significant percentage of women in prison are there for check fraud.

that is a extremely bad idea. you can go to jail for that and it is not that hard to catch you if you do.
