I trudge all the way back and put it where it belongs. Have seen people put frozen items "anywhere" then staff probably puts it back in freezer eventually. Often wonder how many people get sick then from buying meat or frozen items that have been sitting out unrefrigerated?

I train myself to put back things where they belong so I would put an item back in its place when I go grocery shopping. At times, it can depend. For example, if I am in a rush, I would just put the item on a shelf.

If I realize I don't really need something it's usually at the checkout so I tell the girl on the till and they get someone to put it back for me.
I see a lot of things that people have put back in the wrong place but the one thing that bugs me is when it's something out of a freezer and it's dumped on a shelf!

Stick it on a shelf...or give it the cashier to put back. When I spend 300 to 400 on groceries my heart is not in making the people's jobs that work there easier.

hehe... this is a joke with my boyfriend and I. I tend to put it on a shelf somewhere. I say "Someone might be looking for that and not know where they are kept, so this is actually a good thing" Now when I am in a store (usually walmart) and see something placed in the wrong spot that I might want my boyfriend says "someone put that there just for you to find" and he's right :-)
Of course, if the stuff is perishable, like milk or meat, then it goes back where it belongs.

When grocery shopping I might get lazy and put it someplace else, but when I go into a retail store I always put the sweaters etc..back just the way they were. The difference is when grocery shopping I have a 3 year old shaking her groove thing - I go clothes shopping alone.

if i'm close enough, i put it back, but if i'm like on the other end of the place i'll put it on a shelf. or if it is a refrigerated item i will definitely put it back cuz just leaving it on a shelf is gross.

If I'm close by, I put it back on the shelf. If not, I tell the cashier I don't want it and she sets it aside or whatever they do with it.

I put it back where it belongs.
Sure, it's their jobs to put it back where it belongs but sometimes you just have to put yourself in other peoples shoes.
If you worked at the grocery store, would you want people to place it where it belongs or not?

I highly doubt all you people who said you put it back where it belongs actually do that. What if it's wayyyy on the other end?
I only put it back where it belongs if I'm close by. If not...we all know what I'm gonna say. I'm sorry but at least I'm being honest.
