if they are different, under what condition I should choose for detailing or compounding ?

I have heard of detailing but never compounding!

Dollar for dollar--auto detailing is the best way to go--top to bottom--in and out back and forth--the entire vehicle is cleaned, shampooed...waxed and ready to go. You don't waste one moment of time doing what would take YOU 2 whole days and wear out your arms--detailers have all the machines, the compund , the wax and the shampoo----and 4 guys to each car. Compounding is a gritty waxy stuff that is supposed to clean your paint---well your paint might not need compound--the wrong compound can ruin your paint---or the wrong amount of pressure will scratch your paint ---reeeeel bad !! Spend a few bucks and get it detailed.

Details details Finish compounding is just exterior. Detailing is the whole car cleaning shampooing and waxing.
