is it the same rating as ur old stuff .. and make sure ur board supports it if its a different speed .. u should run memtest on each stick seperately also to see if there may be a problem with one ..

If your new RAM is one of those expensive, high performance/low latency type, it might have a higher default voltage requirement that must be manually adjusted in BIOS.

Otherwise, try testing your PC for stability. Try Orthos (blend). It will also test the RAM.

The test will take hours but obvious errors show up early.

It may not be compatable with your existing RAM. Make sure they are both the same speed and latency, or there will be problems.

You can check for "bad" sticks by running Memtest for a few hours on each stick.

what motherboard you use? some motherboard only allow you to use certain slot if you use 2 piece of ram. try put your ram into different slot.

before that, try use only 1 piece, just to make sure you dont get defect ram

Could be a problem with device drivers , hardware or software . This problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html
