11% is pretty bad. And please don't make excuses for them or try to blame this on the administration.

Edit - Democrats control all the commitees and decide which legislation is put up for a vote people. You can't blame the Republicans for the fact that the Democrat leadership has proposed very little worthwhile or meaningful legislation.
Stony - You have to admit 11% is a very low number and is a fraction that they had when they took control of Congress which does not bode well for them.
tnystwrtrn - $ spent in Iraq was approved by a majority of Republicans AND Democrats. If you are worried about the money that is spent there hold your Liberal Congresspeople accountable as well
Geegee - Democrats control the comittees that introduce all legislation to the floor to be voted on. If they propose meaningful legislation it will get passed or those "Obstructionist" Republican will be held accountable come election time
John S - Go back and learn a little about how Congress works. The Republican have done very little Filibustering(actually I'm not aware of any).

John S - They have managed to block cloture on many bills which is not the same thing. Trust me, if the Democrat committees were introducing needed or meaningful legislation it would be getting passed

Nah~they'll stand before America and tell us that 11% is actually a GOOD number! Then they'll blame the Bushies for an obvious "right wing conpiracy" that has sabotaged their finest efforts to carry out "the will of the people." They just won't/can't accept the fact that they are clueless!

In other words, you don't want to read the truth, right? The majority that the Democrats have, has never been enough to really accomplish anything meaningful. They need the help of the Republicans, the Republicans know that if they do nothing the dumb A's will blame the Democrats for doing nothing, as is being done everyday! To me that 11% rating is for the entire Congress, not just the Democrats. They all have a responsibility to do the wishes of the people, the Republicans could care less, they know that the Democrats are going to get blamed by the people that do not know how Congress is really supposed to work. Congress is supposed to work together for the good of the people, they are not their to further their own agenda.

The fact is that every bill the democrats try to pass gets filibustered. The American people elected the democrats a majority to end the war in Iraq. Today, 56 senators voted to do just that. Considering there are 51 dems in the senate, tell me how it the dems fault the war is still going on?
It is instead the republican majority's use of the filibuster to block the will of the American people.

i think of the low approval rankings of Congress and the President merely instruct that the standard public is disappointed with Washington all mutually. somewhat some Republicans decide to assert, nicely Bush would desire to be greater customary because of the fact Congress has a decrease score. i do no longer think of this is precise. this is a few thing to maintain in attitude. After 9/11, President Bush's approval score shot as much as ninety 5%. Congress peaked at fifty 9%. people by no skill like the assumption of Washington politicians, that's merely the image that "Congress" creates in peoples' minds, in spite of if situations are stable or undesirable, people are customarily cynical with regard to the assumption of Washington politicians. Its plenty much less stressful to have faith in someone than the seen a team of politicians, so as this is why the Presidents' approval score is in lots of situations greater, whoever it is.

WASHINGTON -- An ethics watchdog group yesterday named U.S. Reps. John Murtha and Tim Murphy, both Pennsylvania lawmakers, as two of the "most corrupt" members of Congress.
The charges against Mr. Murtha and Mr. Murphy, R-Upper St. Clair, come mostly from news stories and campaign finance records, focusing on "unethical and possibly illegal activities" by both lawmakers.
CREW criticizes Mr. Murtha for being too close to PMA Group, a lobbying firm founded by a former staffer on the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, which the congressman chairs. The firm has been very successful at winning federal contracts for its clients. PMA Group and some of its clients also are top donors for Mr. Murtha's campaigns, giving $274,649 in the 2006 election cycle.
Mr. Murtha also faces criticism for directing a $1 million earmark to a subsidiary of Concurrent Technologies Corp., an organization based in the congressman's district.

I forgive you for some people are ignorant and do not know better. I'll take that 11% proudly. Now take that 11 and add 000,000,000 and you'll have the amount of money that Republicans have wasted on foolish Bull**** . War, frivilous spending now that's something to be proud of give yourself a great big pat on the back. Someday when your homeless living under a bridge with no health care and the only social security you get is by taking in soda cans thank a republican.

Bush lied to Congress, hoodwinked the American people and conned our valiant U.S. troops into believing there was honorable purpose in a 'war' against another sovereign nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the United States.
Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and all their war-mongering friends deserve a special oil-soaked, blood-stained corner in Hell where they can spend eternal damnation along with:
* all 535 members of the most arrogant, contemptible, incompetent, evil, cowardly, corrupt Republican-led U.S. Congress in history that stood by and watched while Bush ran rip shod over our Constitution -and-
* all 535 members of the most arrogant, contemptible, incompetent, evil, cowardly, corrupt Democratic-led U.S. Congress that promised to end this insipid, immoral 'war' if they were elected, and - to date - have done absolutely nothing to keep that promise.
May God damn them all!!! -RKO- 09/19/07
