lol i remember that show from when i was a child in the 70's.. long before being gay was so out... i learned from Jody just who i was....lol wasn't there a storyline involving aliens at one time?

Katherine Helmond went on to great fame as did Billy Crystal..
i cant wait to get them on dvd.

I was way young, but still "got" a lot of their
references (boast, shoulder pat, boast),
but I'd been primed by the original
SaturdayNightLive thing etc, and
I already had that cityslicker,
New York street-corner wiseguy
humor going, so...it was only
natural I'd be all over the pure
derision that made SOAP what it was.

AND: I remember telling friends I would
find a way to get its music theme on tape
and play it in my first car at intersections
for people to hear.

It was a great show, and every week had a cliffhanger so you had to wait till the next week to find out what was going on. I loved Chuck and Bob, you never knew what Bob was going to say, and Bert was great, a kind harmless goofball. They don't make shows like that anymore.

Yes, I remember that show. It was wild. They had so much going on in that show. I can hear the music to it right now! Silly. I loved it too.

It was a little ahead of its time...Crystal was a hoot! I remember Chuck and Bob...LOL!!! Very funny ensemble!
