Someone says something cool, or they ask a great question or something and then you click on their profile, and they don't even allow e-mails?!?!
That's one of my biggest pet peeves here on Y/As! >_<

I think they just want to come and enjoy this site without making pals. I like to send a quick extra sometimes to only the question asker or someone that gives a great answer and it feels like a door is slammed in your face when you realize you can't reach them. But that is their choice so I don't let it bother me..... too much! lol

It shouldn't bother you so much, some people just want to be extra careful. Until recently I wouldn't allow e-mail. Not to piss people off but for my own safety because I have a shared computer and a teen-ager.
