I have a paper due 1-2 weeks from now that was assigned yesterday on Syria's role in the Isreali-Palestinian Middle East Peace process. I was hoping for some information on Syria's government.

Sorry, I probably should have put that in to begin with, but the category is politics and government, the subcategory is politics, so I was hoping to get some answers on Syria's government system.

Aleppo is a nice, historical city in Syria. what else...if you google or yahoo search plenty of info. but on a personal opinion this is not the time to ask about syria...because...they just had
some serious visits from Israel --crossing the boarder...and who knows what they were planning to
fabricate behind the back of USA and other friendly nations. in a country that transfer political leadership from father to son (true it happened in the USA too) you do not ask...many questions.

Syrian Arab Republic or Syria is located north of ancient Mesopotamia and a bastion of Arab nationalism, aside from biblical places where Jesus Christ used to lived his 33 years on earth.
It is a prominent arch-enemy of the Jewish state since Israel's existence, fighting its two wars along with its Arab brethen but lost those struggles its portion of territory now being held by Israel. It is also the main power broker to its more weaker neighbor, Lebanon for 3 decades now.
It is more an authoritarian family dynasty, the President being the son of its long time deceased dictator, Hafez al-assad.
For more details, you can search it on www.wikipedia.org.

Syria: A military state and strong supporter of terrorism. Is a proxy of Iran and has caused major destabilization of the government in Lebanon. In terms of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, it has supported terrorist groups and attacks and condemned the peace process repeatedly.

They do what ever Iran wants them to do. They sponsor terrorist and are a large contributor to the insurgents in Iraq. And apparently Israel very recently did an air strike on a suspected either nuclear, or chemical factory and its been pretty hush hush about it. We haven't even heard any outcries of how innocent civilians were killed, yadda, yadda, yadda. The countries of North Korea and Iran were associated with this story.

I like their bread. Other than that they mobilize and fund radical terrorist cells to blow up men, woman and children.
