There is a mouse roaming the hallways of my all-girls dormatory (at least one. Not sure if there are more). Guys are not allowed in the dormatory (except maintance) and maintance is gone for the day. The mouse was in my tiny bedroom. I ran out screaming and ask the RA what to do. She was useless, only calling maintance and leaving a message. I then went back to my room, where this time I saw a mouse (I think it was the same mouse, but I'm not sure) in the hallway near my neighbor's door. I bolted to my door to close it.

In short, I'm on my bed, afraid to set my foot on the floor and my door is shut (which I normally keep open on hot days to help air flow). I've searched my room for any holes the mouse could have crawled out of, but haven't found any. What precautions should I take to prevent the mouse from re-entering my room?

for now, you could try stuffing a towel under the door. But be warned, if a mouse can get it's whiskers in, then it can get in. and if there is one, there are many more. hopefully, maintance will put out a good bait like Onebite and not the stupid traps. Meanwhile, don't be scared, the mouse will not harm you. They are not as mean as rats and are looking for food. So, get rid of all the snacks laying around and crumbs and chill out.

Heck make make it a pet. They don't eat much, and don't keep you up all night barking either.

Just kidding: Only thing to do if you feel that way and there is a 24 hour Wal Mart super center around go get some of those sticky glue strip mouse traps and peanut butter. When you get back out a little peanut butter in the center and set it outside your door.
That way if you trap it you will not kill it and maintenance can deal with it in the morning. Or you can take it to the Biology Lab in the morning.

But other than that won't worry about it he isn't going to attack you.

All right, first off be brave!
Mouse will not harm you, in fact they are probably more scared of you than you are of it.
As for the getting in, well, a mouse is only limited by the size of its head as far as what it can get through, this is usually about the size of a quarter.
Anyway get a mouse trap and bait it with peanut butter, to get rid of it.
Beyond this make sure not to leave or store any kind of food that is not in a sealed container.
Be brave you'll be fine.

Big girl like you, afraid of a little mouse? It probably is a guy mouse and he's waiting for you to put your pajamas on.

Really, the mouse is more afraid of you than you are of it. If you see it, just say "BOO" and it will run and hide. However, if you manage to go to sleep and all of a sudden feel something fuzzy in your face, don't panic, it's probably just a feather from your pillow-----------where he chewed a hole in it to make a nest!

It's okay to get off of the bed. Just, if you hear a squeal and a squishing sound, you have solved your problem, but wipe the blood off of your feet.

I hope I made you feel better. Don't be afraid, he does not like the taste of human flesh.

Watch it! There he goes!

Close door & stuff rug, coat or something similar tightly under door crack. If have any water pipes (under sink, etc..) plug those holes, too.

Steel wool in holes and mouse trap would be better but you wanted a now thing.

About the only thing you can do is set a trap.

I hate to tell you this, but there is more than one. They will have to exterminate, I'm sure.
