I'm doing a Science Fair Project that involves measuring white light. I know I have to use a white light meter, which I can just get from my teacher, but what unit can you use to describe the amount of white light?

The SI unit for light intensity is the Candela.

Wiki does a decent job describing the history of the unit and what a certain candela reading signifies.
