depends on what sport?
if it was like Tennis the fans would scream and everyone would run!
Little league football well they'd be beaten in a parent rage while the kids ask if they still get pizza?
if it was Hockey they'd find them buried in the ice and their heads used as pucks!
lets face it each sport as there own type of fan and how they react to bad news!

I assume you are reffering to a potential terrorist attack at a prominent American sporting event. If this is the case, I think most (professional) sporting events would be post-poned, the government would launch an investigation (most likely over-stepping their authority many times in the process), and the resumption of sporting events would see a dramatic, if only temporary, rise in security at such events.

Probably not much in the long term -- it would likely have the same impact that the 9/11 attacks had on airline travel.
An initial drastic reduction in attendance, followed by a slow increase back to normal levels a few years later.

It would have little or no effect. People still seem to work and reside in tall buldings after 9/11.

Oh who cares? Sports are a big dumb distraction, and the terrorists are all for us being distracted and unengaged in reality. Methinks that they have other eggs to fry.

Depends whether they followed through with their plan and whether they succeeded.
