Had those who oppressed Martin Luther King, Jr in the Birmingham jail known his letter would be analyzed and proudly proclaimed over 2 score later would they have behaved differently? Progress was made under the leadership of Martin Luther King, Jr. because of the wise tactics, the personal courage and meaningful actions those that followed him took. Kings words showed his conviction because they were congruent with his deeds. Once the momentum began to grant all humans in the south their God given civil rights it would never stop. Although King found himself in jail he ability to teach and lead wasn't deterred.
