Iraq war is not remotely close to a full war, repeated tours with longer time between tours seems like a fair issue to consider, yet Republicans won't allow a vote on that. Why are Republicans afraid of a majority rule?

That's how they support the soldiers.

Thanks Republicans but why don't you instead kick them in the nuts.

You anti-American move-on-dot-org types want the defeat of freedom so you can install your tyrannical one-world government ant dictate what your neighbor can eat for breakfast.
WHEN will you learn that we are in a WORLD WAR and this would have developed into a horrendous situation far worse than anything ever seen during WWI or WWII if Bush hadn't taken action early on!
I often hear the question: What would have happened if some had stopped Hitler before he came to full power?
You are witnessing what would have happened.
Whoever stopped Hitler would have been under as much attack as The Republican Party and Bush are NOW!
Our current actions are KEEPING a lid on the tyrants of the world. Don't take the lid off.

Are you not paying attention? In the house and the senate the democrates have a majority. A simple majority carries a vote in the house, in the senate it takes 60 votes to get anything done, this wasn't always the case. Through the first years of Bush's presidency , when the dems were in the minority they were able to hold Bush's highly qualified judicial nominees hostage to a 60 vote rule. Personally I would like to see the Iraq war vote go forward. It would expose those in the senate who would accept defeat, have no power to change anything because the president would veto it, but at least the public would be informed as to the wishes of their senator

They're afraid because there's a LOT of money to be made by staying in Iraq. Not to mention they accomplish their goal of "starving the beast." That is to say, that they spend a lot with no way of paying for it and cut taxes with no way of paying for those cuts, that eventually there will be no choice but to decrease the size of our government which will allow for deregulation of environmental laws, labor laws, etc. And we all know Republicans want smaller government and fewer regulations for the same reason criminals want fewer cops; it's easier to get away with murder!

Why do you think you deserve an up or down vote when Democrats did the same thing when they were in the minority? Harry Reid brings nothing to the table so he leaves with nothing.

First it's not a war, it is a battle in a larger war.

Second, when you hand that much power to run a war or battles to politicians, you doom them to defeat.

Have you ever served? Do you have any clue as to what you are talking about… didn’t think so.

Just as long as they don't have to go to Iraq!
