It's a total disgrace! I feel sorry for the poor kid. He didn't do anything wrong. He did not commit any crime. The whole thing is an outrage. He was not disturbing the peace - that was an open forum where people could ask questions. His crime was that he had the nerve to ask Kerry about his membership in Yale's Skull and Bones society. This caused Kerry some embarrassment and distress, so the cops pounced on him. Plain and simple. The question he asked before they seized him was completely legit - why WAS Kerry in Skull and Bones and why is it such a big secret?! I'd like to hear Kerry's answer to that myself.

I am saddened that this sort of thing is happening more and more in our country. They had absolutely no right to arrest him or to use such brute force. It's disgusting that so many people condone this and even find the situation humorous. People would not find it to be so funny if it was happening to them! It's quite shocking and scary to be placed under arrest for no reason. But sadly, our freedom of speech has been under attack for quite some time and it is nearly gone. Why people are not completely appalled by this incident is really beyond me...

I don't know for sure if legally the police did anything illegal? I believe they could have handled it better, here's how: First, because a guy (in someone else's opinion) asks asanine questions and acts like a jerk, doesn't mean he doesn't deserve the chance to ask. Second. What if the police had just backed off when they could see that he wanted to finish asking his question? I think John Kerry would have answered it, possibly the guy would have responded, Kerry talks some more, and most likely the guy sits down in his seat and that is the end of it. Wether or not it would have happened that way, we'll never know because the police decided that they call the shots and he didn't want to listen. I think the police could have kept this from escalating by just letting him finish. If he carried on considerably after asking his questions, then the police may have needed to step in. In my judgement, they should have just excercised a little more restraint. I believe that the police are responsible for this becoming such a fiasco. If the cops gave him a chance to finish, and this guy continued on some sort of rant, I think the police would have more support from everyone out there watching this video on the net, and it probably wouldn't be such an issue, and maybe nothing bad would have happened at all.

I thought that both the police and the student were wrong. Two wrongs don't make a right!! The student should have calmed down instead of trying to get away from the police and the police should not have tasered him in front of all those other students. I hope someone watches this video and sees both sides. It's a damn shame!

The dude overstepped his boundaries, and then resisted arrest. However, it took like 10 cops to bring him down. They need some better training. The taser should not have been necessary, but he certainly deserved it.

I felt sorry for the guy. The police really overracted. No one deserves to be tasered just for asking a question.

It had nothing to do with the questions he asked. He was acting like a jackass drama queen so the police kicked him out. He resisted the police and he got what he deserved. Remember, he is a journalism student, a writer, he could have just done this to get his name out there.

There's nothing that will get a cop to taser you faster than by calling him, "Bro."

IDK...I hear he has all kinds of videos out there about himself and likes attention and to be controversial...and if I was law enforcement and somebody was fighting me, I guess I'd do what I had to do to keep myself safe.

that was really messed
up he did nothing
aren't we all supposed to have freedom of speech?
there was no need for that
its not like he had a gun and tried to kill everyone
so why were they treating him like a criminal?
I think what they did to him was screwed up
they could have just not answered the questions he asked
instead of making a big deal out of it and making everyone look bad
