Can Prednisone cause delayed/missed periods?

Question

So I'm supposed to take Prednisone for 30 days for rheumatoid arthritis. I have been taking it for about eight or nine days now. I was supposed to get my period on Tuesday, and I haven't gotten it yet. And I'm NEVER late. Can prednisone cause you to miss your period or delay it for a while? It's possible that I'm pregnant but it's not very likely at all. Should I take a test or should I just wait and see what happens?

Prednisone can mess with the periods including by possibly causing it to be delayed but I would recommend checking with your gynecologist (if you have one) as well to see what they say.
