how would i seperate a mixture of water, sand, and sodium chloride? thanks!

The water will dissolve the sodium chloride because table salt is an ionic compound which is attracted to the polarity of the water molecules. The sand, however, does not dissolve. So, once can seperate the sand from the other two by filtration.

Now the water needs to be seperated from the salt. Easiest way is to boil off the water.

u decant (water+sodium chloride) from sand .... you then distill water from sodium chloride...
