My husband owns a petrified turtle turd. I know... he's lovable though.
I own a small Angels Flight suit popular in the late 70's
A boy doll from the 70's that pees from his simulated male apparatus.
A lavender salt Chrystal that is two feet long and weighs a ton.
One diaper pin and a cloth diaper from my son in 1972.
Teeth I had pulled and the fairy never bothered with.
And a pair of handcuffs... don't ask.
There's more but work is over and I need to go home. LOL

Well, I don't know if these are really strange, but maybe a bit unusual. I have an antique ice crusher, it's bolted to the wall in the laundry room. You open the lid and put ice chunks inside, then shut the lid and turn the crank-presto! Crushed ice drops into a container underneath. I also have a 100 year old upright piano that I restored, it has real ivory keys, and it sounds wonderful! I also have an indian arrow head that I found half buried in a field years ago. I know there's more, just can't think of them right now. Great question, by the way! =)

A piece of artwork done by Charlie Manson from the early 1960s, before they put him away for good.
Hell's Angels Colors from an ex-husband.
A rock painted to look like an owl.
A letter from Major Andre to the British Army, dated 1789.
Pinestraw woven basket.
A 55 pound Rose Quartz from Arizona.
A book of poetry by William Cowper with translations written in French by an unknown.
A 1st Edition Georgia O'Keefe book of some of her work.
These are just a few of my oddities.

When we were stationed in Japan, our last 1 1/2 years were almost soley spent with Japanese friends. We were teaching them English. One couple came over with a gift....we didn't charge anything. It was a picture my wife had been admiring in the Navy Exchange. They couldn't have known. It was a cherry tree branch made out of onyx with the blossoms made out of semi-precious stones. In 1971, it was $86 in the NEX! Also, we have an ink print of a fish we ate raw on New Year's Eve of '71 given to us by the father of our baby sitter. He caught it that day, and we ate it that night.
About 20 years ago, maybe less, the cemetery down the road from me was building a mausoleum. Friend of mine was the supervisor there and got two L-shaped pieces of the white marble and gave them to me. I still have them, utilizing them as book ends.
My son's brother-in-law went on a business trip to Ghana, West Africa. He brought back a bunch of touristy souvenirs. For some reason he had taken a liking to me and brought me a hand made warrior's sword in a hand tooled leather sheath. It's so sharp, I was wiping WD-40 on the blade and all of a sudden blood was running down my arm. I had sliced my finger open (took 3 stitches) and didn't even realize it.
I also have a HUGE cowry shell I picked up while diving off the coast of Kenya in '79, along with another shell.....like a flat conch only with things that look like bent back spider legs. Also a bracelet made out of elephant hair (illegal to import into the U.S. now, but I brought it in before the law went into effect), hand carved wooden rhino, 2 giraffes, 2 bull elephants, a leopard, and a wooden man sitting on a stump with a small piece of burlap and a stick in his hand. If you know what you're looking for, you can see his genitals! All from Mombasa, Kenya in '79 (I traded a Zippo lighter with the USS LaSalle AGF-3...Flag Ship for the Middle East Forces at the time...insignia on it).

I don't have anything left of the "olden days"...I collect Coca Cola things and some Elvis things and a few things from the 40's..but nothing valuable. We do have 20 Duclair ducks. They look like penguins..and when they come for supper..they all come waddling in a row...and you'd swear they were rehearsing for "March of the Penguins". I don't think we own them..I think THEY own US.!!!!!P.S. You know one thing I miss? Those can openers that attached to the wall ! They worked EVERY TIME !!!!
ALSO...the reason I have those things mentioned above is because I live in a camper beside my son and his family. I have it decorated like the 50's...and a little of the 40's. I like it. These are "a few of my favorite things"...(could you hear me singing that???) lol

A back-scratcher which is a preserved alligator foot, a collection of plastic horses by Breyer, a nut-cracker from the Phillippines shaped like a woman. (Guess where you put the nut) 2 photo albums of Fantasy Fest (Florida's Mardi Grais) and several of my old costumes (custom-made.) I'm sure I'll think of more.
