I would not take a life for material things. It is not worth it.

No I won't shoot anyone under the age of 16. But ideally I would wait till he turned 16, find him, then shoot him right in the *** to give him a good reminder that stealing is bad, and stealing from me is worse!

Let the punishment fit the crime. No car is worth a loss of life, especially a young life. Time was when a young thief had to face his father in the woodshed and would learn very quickly that crime doesn't pay. In today's world, he would either be shot by a homeowner, or arrested, tried as an adult, and imprisoned.

No, just the tires. I rather buy new tires than spend time in prison. Although at the time shooting him might seem tempting. I know how it feels to have my car stolen. But it's just not worth it. I couldn't kill anyone over a stupid car.

No, i would just point the gun at him and threaten to shoot him. But its not worth spending time in jail.
Shooting the tire will stop him=] lol

No but i would shoot the tires, then call the police. He can't get far on foot, so he can be caught, throwen in jail and i will have him or his parents pay for new tires, and if he came at me then i will make sure he spents a long time in jail. And i will make sure the charges stick. [ i'm a paralegal]. And i don't mess around.

No, but I would try to shoot the tires out in an attempt to stop them. If that didn't work, I'd just call the police.

If he/ she was stealing my car? You bet your *** I would shoot them, but to injure or maim, not to kill! How would I know their age?

Edit: If they looked young and my life nor my families life was NEVER in danger, I probably would pull the gun on them - and wait for the police.

Problem here is if you don't act, teenagers aren't stupid - they will take advantage of your unwilligness to act.

I dont have a gun, but I'd be very angry, we would be locked up for using one here in the UK. I cross my fingers that will never happen as I dont know what I'd do. hopefully my insurance would get me paid out but I couldnt get another car the same. (Classic American car)

I'd hope someone else shot him though next time he tried it

Only if he was trying to run me over. The law generally frowns on using deadly force in defense of property. IOW, I wouldn't even draw unless there was a threat to myself.
