This shouldve BEEN on the news already as soon as it happened.

First of all, how can we get upset about it if we have never heard of it. It is deffinetly the most horrible thing I have EVER heard of in my LIFE, and I'm pretty upset about it. But you cant blame white people for what the news doesnt tell us. Its not like every reporter is white, you know. There are Asian American, and African American people in the news biz too.

So before you go calling me a self-centered racist, why dont you try taking a look at yourself. Seems to me that YOU are the racist one. You should be ashamed of yourself for posting such a hateful and IGNORANT question.

Like being a bigot is going to make any of this better!! I really cant stand people (of any race) who do this on Yahoo Answers. You can count on me reporting you, and your question WILL be deleted.

And next time you get upset about something like this, try doing something CONSTRUCTIVE instead of spreading hate and close-mindedness. Thats what I plan to do now that I know about it. You on the other hand, have only succeded in making this whole situation worse.

Your absolutely right and it doesn't surprise me. I actually heard about the woman in Virginia for the first time on THIS site last week, I had no idea. But a lot of white people think discrimination is all in our minds and we're just making excuses. If that were a pretty young white girl tortured by us, they'd pause the Superbowl to tell you about it, and they KNOW it! The press coverage would last for years and the criminals would probably get life. They'd be white protesters coming out of the wood work.

But please don't pull the race card...think about the LA Riots...remember the video where the kids pulled the white guy out of his truck and broke the glass block over his face? how many YEARS later did they actually air the whole tape and it was leaked that the judge ruled that "black kids dont mean to kill anyone, they were just trying to scare him" END QUOTE and let them off? it goes both ways.

This had been in the news over a week ago. Just because YOU didn't hear about it don't mean that it was not broadcast or talked about. Actually there was 5 whites who raped and murdered a white couple and I guess you did hear the end of it (you never heard the beginning of it obviously).

If you want news, get it from several sources so that you are not out of the loop.

What about that white guy Phil Spector that's all over the news? What about Britney Spears being blasted in the media in a negative way? What about when Paris went to Jail? What about when all the other white celebrities were blasted in the media in a negative light?

Do you ignore negative white people in the media because it hurts the argument that claims only black people are shown in a negative light in the media?

OJ and Mike Vick were not blasted in the media for being black, they were blasted for being famous. ALL famous people are blasted in the media. If they were not famous, OJ's case might have been in the media, but not all over the news, and Mike Vick would probably not be in the news at all.

The reality is, the media goes with stories it thinks will get more viewers/money. Green is the color they care about, black and white don't really matter.
