This sentence makes sense, right?

Apparently thats Happy Birthday in German.

haha, I wrote that on someone's birthday card and now that I'm reading it over again, I'm not sure if it makes sense or not

Yes, although it would be correct to put an apostrophe in "that's" and put "Happy Birthday" in quotes.

Perhaps it would help to add this punctuation....

Apparently, that's "Happy Birthday" in German.
