Sabotage can be a variety of things. The fear of success and the sabotaging of success can be the lack of desire for success. The fear of success and the avoidance of it can also be the self-punishment cycle of anger and guilt.

Sabotaging anything means that we are interrupting something that will bring change to our lives. After all, if we are successful with X then, some area or aspect of our life will change.

Sabotage can also be viewed as a resistance to change. Many people dislike change and sabotage for that reason alone.

The fear that sabotages you.

Why? The biggest reason for this is that we feel the fear and begin to discount the opportunity that is presented to us. If we are not sure what the future will bring, we automatically fear the worst. The unknown can be a very scary proposition to imagine.

My goal: To not let my fears keep me from experiencing the joys that life has to offer.

Fear sabotages me. I have a book that I started writing 7 years ago, and I know beyond the shadow of a doubt (pardon my ego, small though it may be -- all artists need one) that if I ever finish it, it will be a best -seller. There is, however, that little doubt still there, that asks me "Why are you wasting your time? What if you're wrong?" So, I am afraid to "waste time" pursuing the only earthly thing that will make me happy. Sad, huh?

I know, you didn't ask for personal experiences -- sorry.
