Once there was loving couple traveling in a bus in a mountainous area.they decided to get down at some place. After the couple got down at some place the bus moved on. As the bus moved on, a huge rock fell on the bus from the mountain and crushed the bus to crumbs. Everybody on board was killed. The couple upon seeing that, said, "We wish we were on that bus"
Why do u think they said that?

If they were on the bus, the bus wouldn't have stopped.
If the bus hadn't stopped, the rock wouldn't have hit it.The rock would have passed behind the bus.
If they hadn't asked the bus driver to stop, everybody would be alive now.

You got me thinking for quiet some time.

If the bus wouldn't have stopped for the couple to get down, the rock would've fell after the bus had passed by and thus it wouldn't have hit the bus. Everybody would've been alive

So you said on not in! So to be on is to be on it's top so that they might have helped if there was some one still breathing. But if you meant IN, hence they might feel guilty letting those people die while they were alone. But they made nothing wrong. They just feel sad about what happned and couldn't forget it.
